Klaucens & Associates, Inc. is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for the adaptive reuse of an existing 10-story office and commercial building into a 135-unit student housing development for the University of Illinois – Chicago. Student units will be developed on floors 2 through 10, with modifications to existing retail lease space on the 1st floor, and an addition on the southwest corner of the building.

Apartments will each be 4 bedroom, 4 bath units, with each floor having an approximate floor plate of 18,000 square feet. Building will include a central laundry facility. First floor will consist of shelled retail space.

fan coil units with remote condensing units and electric baseboard heat
