New construction, three story (plus basement), 48,000 square foot building containing classrooms, meeting rooms, administrative office space and 10,000 square foot gymnasium. The Red Shield Center will provide life-skills education, child care programs like Head Start and after-school care, senior activities, health-oriented programs, performing arts and organized athletic programs.

Mechanical
Four variable air volume packaged rooftop units, dedicated units for each floor and a constant volume gas fired unit for the gym. Each temperature zone is served by dedicated terminal VAV box with reheat coil. Direct digital control (DDC) system is used for energy management and equipment monitoring.

Electrical
New 2,000 amp electrical service, all new life safety systems and a new gas emergency generator.

Plumbing
All new energy efficient central hot water heating plant.

Sprinkler Building is to be totally sprinklered based on ordinary hazard occupancy.
