On an existing 23 acre site in Joliet, Illinois, Klaucens & Associates, Inc. working with SAS Architects and Planners assisted Our Lady of Angels develop their existing site to include 29 duplex, cottage style homes and a 3-story retirement home. The site was developed in phases with each cottage engineered as a standard, economical duplex unit with a gas/DX split HVAC system, gas hot water heater and 125 amp electrical service with emergency call system. The 3 story nursing home included gas/DX roof top units to serve common spaces as well as self contained air conditioners for each of the resident units. Individual tenant electrical panels were provided along with a 100 KV diesel generator to serve emergency loads. A central hot water system was provided throughout.
