Klaucens & Associates, Inc. is providing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for a new California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant at the Rush/Ohio/Wabash Parking Structure in Chicago, Illinois.


Chicago, Illinois

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a twelve story, open parking structure. An existing air handling unit was utilized in the design to provide variable air distribution. The kitchen hood exhaust ductwork was routed to the roof The point of exhaust was designed to provide a safe discharge that would not cause a nuisance with the parked cars. A direct fired make-up air unit was used to match the exhaust requirements.
 
Klaucens & Associates, Inc. is also currently providing engineering services for new California Pizza Kitchens in suburban Dallas, Texas, Valley Fair, California and Salt Lake City Utah, and is in the pre-design stage for twelve additional CPK’s across the U.S.
