The Victor Yacktman Children’s Pavilion at Lutheran General Hospital is the largest and most comprehensive
facility for pediatric outpatient services in the Chicagoland area. Klaucens & Associates, Inc. working with Cesar Pelli & Associates, Inc. and Watkins, Carter & Hamilton Architects provided mechanical and plumbing engineering services from the preplanning stage of the project through construction administration.

The building was engineered as a stand-alone facility, complete with built-up air handling units capable of being
classified as hospital grade per state and local codes. The addition was designed with it’s own own chiller and
boiler facilities cross connected to the hospital’s main boiler plant.

The addition consolidates all Lutheran General Hospital’s children’s outpatient services under one roof including:
  • Pediatric Primary Care
  • Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center
  • Adolescent Primary Care Center
  • Child Advocacy Center
